Keep Australia Beautiful Week

Held in the last week of August each year, Keep Australia Beautiful Week was developed by KAB to help focus and remind people of the simple things that they can do in their daily lives to help protect the environment.

The People's Assembly: Sustainable Solutions for Victims of Sea Level Rise

In August 2008, Green Cross will enlist a group of everyday Australians to help us decide what action our country should take to prepare for sea level rise and population displacement. The National People's Assembly will be open to the public as part of the Riverfestival.

National Threatened Species Day

National Threatened Species Day is held on 7 September each year to encourage the community to help conserve Australia's unique native fauna and flora. We can all take action to prevent further extinctions by restoring healthy numbers of endangered species and ecological communities in the wild.
