FRASER Coast Mayor Mick Kruger is encouraging residents to take photos of the upcoming summer king tides for Green Cross Australia's Witness King Tides project.

"King Tides can give us an idea of what our coast might look like if our sea levels rise," Cr Kruger said.

"We live in a coastal community and many of our homes, parks, piers and other infrastructure are near the waterfront so it is important that we plan for future changes to tide levels. Information from the Witness King Tides Project will help with our planning."
