 | | Towards a values shift | | | “Overnight changes to the economic model that has prevailed for a half century are not realistic” writes Green Cross founder Mikhail Gorbachev in the New York Times. “The transition to a new model requires a shift in values. The global economy must be reoriented toward the public good.” Read the full opinion piece. | | |

 | | Green Cross Australia wishes for 2010 | | | This coming year is a big one for GCA. We wish to: 1) unleash green rebuilding and green jobs in Flowerdale and across Black Saturday affected communities; 2) inspire GenY/Z to get trained and active as bushfires and floods hit harder; 3) motivate 10,000 ten year old Queensland students with a green diary that will tug at their hearts; and 4) support community led Pacific climate adaptation. | | |

Thank you Greg Goebel for your support of our young organisation and for the warm partnership we share with Australian Red Cross. While we'd prefer you to send us an email (much greener!) if you need to send us snail mail, Green Cross Australia's postal address has changed to:

George Street
Brisbane QLD 4000
Stay tuned for news later in 2010, as we move into Brisbane’s new Green Sustainable Development Hub! | | |
