Green Cross Australia is the Australian affiliate of Green Cross International,
founded by President Mikhail Gorbachev

Green Cross is teaming up with Brisbane City Council's CitySmart community outreach programs in order to get our Extreme Weather Heroes message out to the community.
In conjunction with BCC’s CitySmart Neighbourhood Fairs, Green Cross Australia and members of several major emergency volunteer organisations come together in an Extreme Weather marquee to bring Australia’s weather challenges into focus and demonsrate how extreme weather will affect our future.
Alongside the emergency volunteers:
Emergency volunteers talk about their amazing work and show off their specialist gear.
You can also find out how to get involved in fighting climate change through volunteering in these organisations.
Green Cross and CitySmart aim to involve NGOs such as SES, Red Cross, St. Johns Ambulance and the Rural Fire Brigade.
The next two marquees will be at:
| Bracken Ridge | Sunday, 2 November | 10am - 1pm, McPherson Park Yarran St, Bracken Ridge (UBD Map ref 110 E5) |
| Kedron | Sunday, 23 November | 10am - 1pm, Bernie Brae Park, Jefferies St, Kedron (UBD Map ref 120 B15) |
Stay tuned for more upcoming developments about how you can become a Extreme Weather Hero!
