International organizations, governments, local authorities, financial institutions, private corporations and indeed all members of society are responsible for redressing this situation and ensuring the right to water for all.
This will not happen unless a relevant legal framework is established. Green Cross International and its partners are appealing for the adoption of a Framework Convention on the Right to Water.
This is a long term campaign. Green Cross will build momentum by educating Australians about the impending worldwide water crisis.
This includes the promotion of Leonardo DiCaprio’s short film Water For Life and a global petition for legal recognition of people’s right to water.
